Thorsten Brinkmann in Faces Cachées at La Manufacture

Thorsten Brinkmann is currently presenting work in the exhibition Faces Cachées (Hidden Faces) at La Manufacture (the Museum of Memory and Textiles) in Roubaix, France. This show brings together a global mileu and diversity of artists to raise questions around the main theme of "the mask". As an exhibition of different characteristics and purposes with regard to this motif, in which societies have created and utilized over time and civilizations, the mask is understood from a wide range of mediums and perspectives to transcend universal meaning.

 

Brinkmann's work presented is a 170 cm x 130 cm C-Print titled Skrillo (2016), shown to the right. Click on the image to see the full view.
